This course is delivered by Roxanne Gregory, an Early Years Professional, ensuring the course is relevant and informative for practitioners attending. The course is suitable for candidates new to first aid as well as those needing to refresh.
This course includes resuscitation skills for Adults, Infants and Children. Candidates will receive training in a range of first aid skills including:
The ability to act safely and effectively when an accident or emergency occurs.
The treatment and priorities of care for an unconscious patient.
The recognition of cardiac arrest and delivery of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The ability to safely and promptly treat a patient who is bleeding.
Recognition of common childhood complaints and illnesses and appropriate care.
Developing an effective emergency plan for when emergencies occur.
The keeping of simple records following an accident in the workplace/care setting.
Our course meets the requirements of OFSTED under DfES guidance (April2017) complying with the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Re-training is required within 3 years of issue date.
Successful candidates will be awarded a plastic qualification card on completion and receive a full colour A4 certificate awarded by WorkSafe Training Systems
This course is a two day event held in our training venue, maximum places are set to 12 to allow for social distancing in our usually 40 seat venue. Both days must be attended in full to receive certification. Saturday 9th and Saturday 23rd January 2021, 9am-3.45pm.
Delegates will be served tea and coffee refreshments, please bring your own lunch.
